Founded in 1732, the picturesque Cape Dutch homestead of Clanwilliam is one of the ten oldest towns in the country. Celebrating in 2014 it's 200th Birthday. Yes there will be many different celebrations through out 2014.

Clanwilliam Lodge itself is a transformed girls hostel, originally built by the Provincial Administration in 1916. Much of the furnishings in the lodge are made from wood from the original building.
